A simple way to clear your battery waste.

From office AA batteries to larger UPS and vehicle batteries, we help UK businesses arrange the right battery disposal service. Our friendly team can help identify the types and explain the collection options.

Look for markings such as Alkaline, Pb, Li-ion, Ni-Cd or NiMH on the casing. AA and AAA describe sizes, rather than the battery chemistry. If you are unsure, send an overall photograph and close-ups of readable labels; do not handle damaged batteries just for a photo.

Battery recycling costs depend on the type, amount and condition. We can quote by kilograms, drum or container load, depending on the service. A rough weight or container count is fine if you know it.

Need an ongoing battery collection? We can supply suitable 30L, 60L or 205L drums and pallet boxes for larger loads, with scheduled collections or exchanges when full. The container must suit the batteries: ordinary drums are not suitable for every load.

Swollen, leaking or damaged batteries need separate care. Keep them out of the normal mixed load and tell us before collection. Damaged lithium batteries can overheat or catch fire and may need individual protective packaging and specialist transport. Do not puncture, dismantle or send them by ordinary post; ask us for instructions. If a battery is hot, smoking or burning, keep clear and call 999.

Battery Recycling & Collection for UK Businesses FAQs

Can you collect mixed batteries?

Yes, we can help with mixed battery loads. Send an overall photograph and readable label photos. Tell us about damage separately; we will explain any separation or packaging needed.

Can you supply battery drums or pallet boxes?

Yes. We supply suitable storage solutions, including drums and pallet boxes for larger quantities. Damaged lithium batteries need specialist advice and may require individual protective packaging.

How much does battery recycling cost?

The chemistry, amount, condition, location and packaging affect the cost. We quote by kilograms, drum or agreed container load where appropriate.

How do I identify the battery type?

Check the side or casing for Alkaline, Pb or Lead Acid, Li-ion, Lithium, Ni-Cd or NiMH. Send clear label photos if unsure. AA and AAA are sizes, not chemistry types.

What should I do with a swollen battery?

Stop using or charging it, keep it out of the normal mixed load and tell us before collection. Do not puncture or dismantle it, or remove it from equipment if unsafe. Ask us for handling instructions. If it is hot, smoking or burning, keep clear and call 999.

Can you arrange regular battery collections?

Yes. Choose scheduled collections or contact us when your agreed container is full.

Can batteries go with electrical equipment?

Tell us about loose batteries and batteries fitted in devices separately. Do not add loose or damaged batteries to a general WEEE bin without our instructions.
