Which Vape Waste Can We Collect?

We help businesses clear end-of-life devices, retailer returns and unwanted stock. Keep devices intact and tell us about any damage.

Refillable Vape Devices

Unwanted rechargeable and refillable vape devices.

Pod Devices & Vape Pens

End-of-life pod systems and e-cigarette devices.

Returned Single-Use Vapes

Waste devices handed back by customers, including older disposable products.

Retail Take-Back Loads

Devices collected separately through your shop’s recycling point.

Unsellable & Recalled Stock

Unwanted business stock requiring an appropriate waste route.

Workplace Vape Waste

Devices collected separately from general rubbish and other recycling.

Vape Recycling for Shops & Workplaces

Used vapes combine electronics, batteries and sometimes remaining liquid. Putting them into general waste or mixed recycling creates a fire risk and loses materials that can be recovered through a suitable treatment route.

Quality Waste helps UK businesses with vape waste collection and disposal. We can arrange a collection for a retailer take-back point, an office or warehouse recycling point, or unwanted stock that cannot be sold.

Send us some overall photos and a rough box or container count. Let us know whether you have used devices, unused stock or a mixture, and tell us about any damaged or leaking items.

Retail Returns & Unwanted Vape Stock

The UK ban on selling and supplying single-use vapes took effect on 1 June 2025. Older devices still appear in returns and waste collections. The ban does not mean these products belong in ordinary bins, or remove retailers’ applicable WEEE take-back responsibilities.

Our collection service helps with unwanted devices and stock. It is a waste service, not a producer compliance scheme or a guarantee that every retailer obligation has been met.

Keep Vape Devices Intact & Separately Stored

Do not crush or dismantle devices, remove embedded batteries or empty remaining liquid yourself. Keep vape waste separate from general rubbish, loose batteries and other waste, using storage arrangements suited to the devices and their condition.

Damaged Batteries Need Separate Advice

Tell us about damaged, leaking, hot or swollen devices before placing them in a routine collection load. If a device is smoking or presents an immediate danger, follow your workplace emergency procedures and keep people away. Do not include an unsafe device with an ordinary box of used vapes.

Regular Vape Collections & Recycling

If vape waste builds up regularly, we can discuss an ongoing collection arrangement. For a one-off clear-out, let us know what you have and we will help with the collection. Prices depend on the devices, condition, amount, packaging and location.

Vapes are electrical equipment and need a WEEE recycling route when they become waste. Appropriate treatment separates the materials and manages batteries and residues. Loose batteries and bottles of e-liquid are different waste streams—list them separately if they are also part of your clear-out.

Your Questions Answered

Can you collect used vapes from a retailer take-back point?

Yes. We can arrange business collections for separately stored waste vape devices. Tell us the container load and whether damaged devices are present.

Can returned disposable vapes still be recycled after the ban?

Yes. Waste single-use devices still need an appropriate recycling route. Their collection for disposal does not permit their sale or supply.

Are vapes WEEE?

Yes. Vape devices are electrical equipment, and discarded devices are WEEE. Their batteries and any remaining liquid also need suitable handling.

Should we take the batteries out first?

Do not dismantle devices or remove embedded batteries yourself. Keep the devices intact and follow the agreed preparation advice. Loose batteries should be identified separately.

Can you collect e-liquid bottles as well?

Tell us about e-liquid separately, including whether bottles are full or part-used and whether the nicotine content is known. Do not pour it away or assume it belongs in the same vape-device container.

Can we arrange regular vape collections?

Yes. We can help with a one-off stock clearance or recurring business collections. Ask our team about an arrangement that suits your waste and storage.

Is this a free vape recycling service?

We provide business collection quotes based on the amount, condition and location. We do not promise free collections or describe our collection service as a producer compliance scheme.
