Used Oil Filter Disposal for UK Businesses
A filter may be small, but a busy workshop can fill a container quickly. Quality Waste arranges used oil filter collections so you can clear the waste from oil changes and machinery maintenance without leaving it to build up.
We help independent garages, fleet workshops, plant maintenance teams and engineering businesses. Let us know which filters you have and roughly how many containers need collecting. Photos are welcome if you are unsure.
Oil Filter Recycling & Responsible Treatment
Used oil filters retain oil inside the casing and filter material. They need a suitable waste route rather than going straight into a general rubbish bin or an ordinary scrap metal load.
Appropriate treatment deals with the remaining oil and separates materials for recovery where possible. Metal canisters and cartridge elements differ, so tell us which types are included. We do not ask customers to cut open or crush filters before collection.
Collections Alongside Your Other Workshop Waste
Need to clear used engine oil too? See our Waste Oil Collection service. We can also help with Oily Rags & Contaminated Absorbents and Antifreeze & Brake Fluid Disposal.
Mention the different waste streams in one enquiry and keep each separately contained. For businesses with ongoing servicing work, our team can discuss repeat collections.
Keep Filters Contained Until Collection
Store used filters in a suitable closed, leak-resistant container that retains any oil. Keep rainwater and other waste out, and have the container ready for the collection.
Let us know if the load includes fuel filters, air filters, chemical filters or loose oil, as these are not all the same waste. Our Drum & IBC Disposal service can also help with unwanted containers themselves.
Your Questions Answered
Do you collect oil filters from garages?
Yes. We arrange used oil filter collections for garages, service centres and commercial vehicle workshops.
Can you collect metal and cartridge filters?
Yes. Tell us whether you have spin-on metal filters, cartridge elements or a mixture, and what they were used for.
Do we need to crush oil filters first?
No. Leave the filters intact in a suitable container that retains any oil. Do not cut or crush them to prepare for collection.
Can we include fuel filters or other filter types?
Mention them separately. The contents and contamination can differ, so we need to identify the types before arranging collection.
Can we book regular filter collections?
Yes. We can help with regular workshop collections or a one-off clearance. Contact our team for a free, no-obligation quote.
