SERVICE STANDARDS
Waste Acceptance & Collection Policy
What to tell us before a WEEE, hazardous waste, container or clearance collection.
Website edition: 5 October 2026 · Quality Waste Limited
Agree the waste first
Provide an accurate list, quantities, photos where helpful, collection postcode and known hazards. Supply safety data sheets or composition details for chemicals where available. Acceptance depends on the waste classification, safe packaging and an authorised route. Do not send unagreed waste to our premises.
Preparation and segregation
Keep incompatible chemicals and waste streams separate. Tell us about damaged lithium batteries, leaking containers, pressurised items, sharps, asbestos, radioactive material or other unusual hazards before booking. Ordinary electrical containers are not suitable for every hazardous item. Waste upholstered seating containing POPs must be identified and handled through a suitable separate route.
Safe access and containers
Arrange a safe loading area and tell us about stairs, lifting needs, restricted access and site rules. Items must fit safely into an agreed container; do not overfill or force them in. Container locations indoors or outdoors must allow safe access and exchange. Pricing, exchange schedules and minimum exchanges are confirmed in the quotation.
Documentation and UK coverage
Agree the waste description and applicable transfer or consignment documentation. Requirements differ across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and by waste type. Collection does not remove the producer’s own duty of care. Overseas businesses using a UK returns address must agree the receiving service first; cross-border waste shipments are not covered by an ordinary UK collection booking.
Changes and unsafe loads
Notify us if quantities, access or waste types change. Unsafe, misdescribed or unagreed loads may need assessment, repackaging or another authorised route before acceptance. Any revised scope and charges should be explained rather than assumed.
