Which Waste Recycling Container Do I Need?

Quality Waste supplies containers for business electrical waste, batteries, printer cartridges and suitable specialist waste. The right choice depends on what you are collecting. Keep each waste stream identifiable and use the container for the waste agreed with our team.

240L and 1100L WEEE Recycling Bins

These bins can hold suitable electrical items that fit safely inside. Small appliances, cables and IT accessories are common examples. Do not force items in, compact electrical waste or leave sharp or heavy items protruding. Fridges, fluorescent tubes and loose batteries need their own collection arrangements. Data-bearing media collected through our services are shredded, with a Certificate of Data Destruction included.

240L Bins for Ink and Toner Cartridges

A dedicated cartridge bin keeps used printer ink and toner cartridges together for collection. Keep cartridges intact and follow the agreed packaging instructions to prevent spills. It is not a bin for loose toner powder, liquid ink or unrelated electrical waste.

30L, 60L and 205L Battery Drums

Battery drums can support regular business battery collections, but chemistry, weight and condition matter. Tell us whether you have alkaline, lithium, Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, lead-acid or mixed batteries. Do not assume a drum supplied for one battery type accepts another. Damaged or swollen batteries need separate advice and must not join a routine battery drum collection.

205L Drums and IBCs for Other Waste

Oil, paint, sealants and chemical waste need compatible containers and an agreed collection route. Do not mix different liquids or use an unidentified drum. An open or cut-top IBC is not suitable for loose liquids. Closed IBCs also need checks for compatibility, condition and transport suitability. The original container label and previous contents can be important.

Where Can I Keep My Containers?

Choose a secure, suitable place where containers can be exchanged safely. Indoor or outdoor storage may be possible depending on the waste and container, with protection from weather, damage and unauthorised access. Liquids and batteries can need additional controls. Ask our team about a suitable setup before placing containers.

When Do You Exchange Full Containers?

We can arrange collections on demand or on a regular schedule. Let us know when your container is getting full so we can arrange an exchange. Costs depend on the container and collection schedule; most arrangements require at least two exchanges per year. Confirm the terms with our team.
